I dissolved my limited company in March 2024, and I assume I don't have to file any tax return for the tax year 2024/25. And I assume HMRC knows about this. However, I received a partnership tax return form from the post yesterday. What should I do now? How do I tell HMRC that no tax return is required.

Hi Kwok Ching Tsui,
With regards to the limited company so long as Companies House demonstrates that the business has been dissolved this should then filter through to our records at which point you are correct in that no further CT600 documents will need to be filed for the entity.
It may be that a partnership return was set up in error.
If there is no partnership, then the nominated partner needs to report this to HMRC on 0300 200 3310, so that we can withdraw the tax return and close the partnership record down.
Thank you.
