I set up a payment plan online 48 hours ago but My account hasn’t updated and I can’t see the payment plan that was agreed and finalised. I have a screenshot of the page that came up after I finalised it, showing the payment plan reference number. It said i’d receive a letter in the mail with the direct debit confirmation. Should I just wait to reiceve that? I just want to make sure the payment plan is definitely set up as it’s showing I owe a large sum in 3 weeks time, instead of the agreed monthly amount.

You will not be able to see any agreement on the online account.
You can contact our Self Assessment payment team if you want to check this has been setup correctly on 0300 200 3822.
