i am employed and pay take the usual way. Last year i was asked to give a few guest lectures at different overseas universities. The combined amount i received was £2800. I did not pay tax on this overseas. I assume i declare this on a self assessment form? it is not clear which section to mention this on as the foreign tax section doesnt have this as a cateogory. It is likely that this was a one off thing.

Hi plzsm25,
If no tax was paid abroad, you treat all of this as self employment.
You need to declare the income in pound sterling.
Thank you.
