Do pension contributions affect the £100,000 threshold for self assessment? I have total earning above this, but it is below £100,000 once I deduct my pension contributions and I would like to determine whether I need to complete a self assessment

If the income figure being declared to HMRC is £100,000 and above you would need to complete the Self Assessment tax return.

You can include the pension contributions on the tax return if they have not been deducted from the figure being declared to HMRC.

Thank you.
