My Self Assessment tax calculation shows the figures inputted for 'pay from all employments' has been rounded down, and the figures inputted for 'total tax deducted' remain exact. For 'benefits and expenses received' (in my case car and private health cover), what figures are rounded up or down as the total differs from those inputted. Thanks

Hi,

WeI would expect those figures to be rounded down.

Thank you.

Rounding down car and private health cover figures for the 2020/21 tax year results in a £2 discrepancy.

Hi,

If you include a figure for pence when entering P11D benefits, the system will round these down.

Thank you.

Hi oscaryy,

You can do this if you wish, however the online system does its own calculation based on the information you have entered onto the return.
Any figures you enter in this box will not be used in the calculation.

Thank you.

Dear HMRC, Good day to you. Thank you very much for the reply. I would like to tell you that I am not using the online system. Also, I need to complete SA106, and SA109. And from your reply, I guess I can do my calculation and showed in the box 19, page TR7 of SA100. And I right? Thank you very much. Best regards.
