Don’t know why I’m registered for self assessment

I was checking my personal tax account and saw that I was registered for self assessment. I have no idea why. I have checked whether I need to self assess using the HMRC tool and I don’t. I used to complete self assessment but was advised in, I think 2009 that no longer needed to file. I’ve not been contacted since to advise that I needed to file a self assessment and if I hadn’t logged into my account would have been none the wiser. Please advise why I have been registered.

I did contact the self assessment team. They explained that although I am registered for self assessment this harks back to many years ago when I did a tax return. I’ve not been requested to complete one. They did agree that it was confusing to have this information on your personal tax account home page as it implies a return has been requested when it hasn’t.
