I was non resident in 2022/23 but spent 67 days (over a number of short trips) visiting the family in the UK. Most of the 67 days were either annual leave, weekends or public holidays but I did worked for more than 3 hours on 20days. I am trying to see how much of my overseas income I could allocate to those 20 days where I worked from the UK. Should I divide 20 days by 365 days in the year or is there another standard denominator used by HMRC for such calculation. What are the numbers of standard work days in a given year accepted by HMRC ? Please kindly help

Hi,
You will need to review the guidance on statutory residence and take the test, to determine your residence status.
Please also have a look at the guidance at:  RDRM11700 - Residence: The SRT: Days spent in the UK: Contents which coves days spent in the UK.
We cannot advise how you calculate the number of days worked in the UK, as we can only provide general information / guidance in this forum.
For an answer to a more detailed question of this nature, you would need to contact our self assesment helpline on 0300 200 3310, contact our webchat facility at https://www.gov.uk/contact-hmrc or seek professional advice.
Thank you.
