I'm a self employed contractor. One of my clients wants me to attend a meeting at a time when I have booked a vacation, and is willing to pay my non-recoverable air fare. Is this taxable income?

Hi,

This would depend on how the flight was paid for.

If the flight is personal travel and paid for, out of your own pocket (not paid for by your business) then it would not be taxable income.

If your business paid for the flight, it would be taxable income and should be added to your turnover .

Thank you.

Thank you for the clarification. The flights were paid from personal funds.
