Hi, my former employer went into liquidation and I was owed unpaid holiday + salary. I was not a shareholder. I received what the liquidator called a 'dividend' from the proceeds of the liquidation process. They deducted income tax (+ national insurance) from me at the dividend tax rate. I am doing my personal tax return and there is no box on the tax return to include the tax deducted from this dividend. Where should I enter it?

Hi,
As they have deducted tax and NI this will be classed as an employment and not a dividend for tax purposes.
Thank you.
