Hi, I am a retired person living with my daughter and grandchildren in a family. Being one of the family members, in order to support a bit of living expenses including buying food, utility fees and council tax for the whole family, I would like to offer a fixed amount of money to my daughter on a monthly basis. In this case, may I know/confirm if this kind of monthly fund I give to my daughter will be counted as her income and she needs to report it to HMRC via Self Assessment Tax Return for income tax? Thank you.
