Hi I live in Hong Kong and have a rental income from UK since 2020. I got the letter for UTR in November 2021, tax calculation in February 2022 and also paid the tax due in March 2022. However, I received letter for difference UTR and tax calculation in May 2022 for same rental income as above. I guess a duplicate UTR application in last year caused by no feedback from HMRC during covid-19 environment. What can i do now? Ignore the second one? Kind Regards

Hi I just call to general hotline for self assessment about my suituation, they said that ignore the new UTR and will investigate the reason. King Regards

If you contact our Self Assessment department and provide both of the UTR numbers, we can check which one is the duplicate and
ensure that it is closed.
