UTR Number and CIS scheme

Hi, I applied for the UTR number in September and I haven't received any response so far. The construction company I work for wants me to work under the CIS scheme and I need advice on how can I do that while I'm waiting for my UTR. Can someone help with information?

It is still possible to work for a construction company as a subcontractor when you are waiting for your UTR number, as you will be deducted at the higher rate (30%) until the contractor is able to verify you.
Once your subcontractor registration is completed, any unmatched verifications will need to be matched to your record.
