Third Automatic Overseas Tes

I have tried getting a response from HMRC by emailing the non residents help desk but no reply after 4 weeks. I am trying to establish two things: 1. Are public holidays deductible from the reverence period for the third automatic overseas test 2. Are cancelled flights exceptional circumstances for day count Any help and advice much appreciated

Hi Arab,

1. Public holidays are not deductable as it is based on the whole year.  

2. Cancelled flights would only count if you were unable to get another flight on the same day - it doesn't need to be with the same airline.
