Hello, I reported a sale of a residential property earlier this year using the CGT on UK Property Service which confirmed I have no tax to pay. I am now working on my Self Assessment 2022 return and unsure what sections of the SA108 I need to complete. My taxable gain was 0 and CGT due for return was 0. Do I input zero in box 52.1, insert the online return reference in box 54 and attach my computation worksheet? Should I be completing other sections of the SA108? Thank you for your assistance. Kind regards,

Hi Northern Girl,

Given that no capital gains tax is due re: the sale of your UK residential property, please include a brief summary of the CGT position in box 54, attach your computation worksheet, and leave the other sections of the SA108 blank.

Thank you.
