I completed the cf38 form online last week but it states reply date as 25th July, 2025. Will this still be considered as applying before deadline? Do you provide a payment plan or does it all need to be paid at once?

Hi,
If you have sent in a CF83 application form to pay voluntary National Insurance from abroad and it has been received, this will be classed as applying before the deadline to pay. Once the CF83 is worked you will receive a reply with all the tax years you are invited to pay. The letter will include the amounts relevant to the tax years and the time limits to pay them by. You can pay instalments up until the final dates stated on your letter for the applicable tax years and the rate/amounts that apply. If you do not pay the required amount for a tax year before the time limit expires the tax year may not be available anymore if it is an older tax year. For the last 6 tax years the rates may increase each year meaning if you do not pay the required amount for a tax year before the deadline to pay, the amount may increase once we enter into the new tax year.
Thank you.

I have received the statement of past premiums due after submitting CF83 for my daughters who both work overseas. They can pay Class 3.There is no mention of an 18 digit ref number starting with 60 for either of them on these statements.[ all they show is ICW -ROW number. I wish to pay this in the UK direct for them . Much simpler and more secure. Will you accept simple bank transfer here with their ref. Name and IC and NI number. Malcolm

Hi,
Regardless of where the payment is being made from, the reference quoted on the original letter issued to your daughters should be used.
Thank you.

I have received a letter saying I need to pay capital gains tax on a property I've never owned? I have tried to speak to someone in your dept but was cut off when he tried to transfer me to the right department (after waiting 36mins to get through) How to do I prove I am NOT and never was the owner of said property.

Hi SCT Thomas,
You can call back on 0300 200 3300 or use webchat.
Alternatively return the letter to us with confirmation of your current and previous address to show that you have never lived at the property concerned.
Thank you.

I opened two ISA accounts in 2024-2025, one of them was from 2023-2024, but in 2024-2025 I transferred it to the other bank by myself. I didn't know the account was lost when I withdrew the money. I just know it's illegal few days before, and I have already contacted the provider and it canceled my account without any interest. I just wanted to let you know what's happened.
