Hello I selected YES for Child Benefit when asked as I started receiving child benefit at the beginning of 2024, however I didn't get an option to enter how much I'd received. Is that because my income was below the High Income threshold so that section was not applicable to me? I'm worried I should have put it in somewhere. I went back over my Tax Return again just now but still couldn't see where to enter High Income Child Benefit Charge? I earn below £50,000 so maybe that is the reason why? I just want the reassurance that I've not missed anything obvious. Thank you for your help.

Hi,
If you selected Yes to receiving Child Benefit, you should then see the section for High Income Child Benefit Charge, towards the end of your return.
While you will most likely not have any additional tax due, if you cannot see this section, please submit your return, then contact our Self Assessment team by webchat or phone via to allow us to update your return.
