I've declared income from foreign pension in the online SA form. I don't understand the Pension Saving Tax Charges section or why I am being asked to fill it in. I tried to put 0.00 in all the boxes (except for 1-7 which are no longer in use relating to the Lifetime Allowance) but it says the value must be more than 0.00. I don't pay into a pension, so there is no pension saving. I receive a monthly payment from the Irish state pension. Do I need to fill in this section or can it be deleted? If so where do I get the information from because it all seems to relate to paying into pension savings not receiving a foreign pension? It is so confusing and the rest of the process has been very straightforward. Thank you for any help.

Hi,
This section is for those who have exceeded paying in more than the 60k allowable and have no unused relief from previous years. By the sounds of it, you do not need this section.
Thank you.
