I have already claimed tax relief on professional fees for 23/24 via online form, and have now been asked to submit a self assessment tax return for the same year - do I need to claim and fill these out again under the employment expenses section? Thank you

Not HMRC...the SA return needs to include everything relevant to the year, all sources, all claims, its all encompassing so everything relevant to your income/expenses needs to be included, even if already claimed, and if youve already had a refund of tax you enter that in the box for that too.

Hi Eva Ke,
Yes, these expenses will still need to be claimed through your Self Assessment Tax Return.
