As of tax year 2021-22 I work partially-remotely for an Austrian employer, but spend the majority of my time in the UK. Naturally my Austrian employer has no notion of PAYE deductions, so I contacted SLC and have been making repayments monthly by Direct Debit as they suggest. However, my repayments do not show up in my online tax return calculation, and there does not seem to be anywhere to record this on the return. As it stands I am effectively double-paying my student loan repayments, as HMRC will charge me for the student loan. Any ideas? Who do I contact? Thank you!

Hi
If you submit the return and contact us after 72 hours, we can pass you to our Student Loans Unit who can review the calculation to ensure that you are not being asked to pay a duplicate amount.
The online return does not give you the option to state that you have already made payments direct to SLC.
Self Assessment: general enquiries
Thankyou.
Regards.
