Hi, I have been locked out of my account and can't file my on-line self assesment. Lost my old phone number and can't get access code to sign in. In order to change my nymber I am asked for documentation that I don't have as I am not British. So I don't have Photocard Driving Licence and UK passport. I am trying the last 2 weeks to contact Hmrc by phone and messages and I am just making circles. When I call an anwering machine tells me to find links that don't exist and all the links end up to this number 03002003600/+441619308445 that I can't find someone to speak to. Apart from all the phone calls I am charged since at the moment I am not in the UK, from tomorrow I will have to pay a penalty since I will not have filed my self assesment. I am frustrated. Is there a solution? Thank you in advance, F.

Hi Fragkiski,

When resetting the number, you need to pass the additional verification questions.
If you are not able to do this with the options provided you will need to submit a paper tax return.
