I have overpaid taxes last year and can it automatically offset the payment due on 31 July 2023 on the system? (Or should I request a refund and then settle the July payment separately?)

Hi,

If a refund is generated, this will sit as a credit on Self-Assessment and would automatically be set against the July amount when it becomes due.
