I have always been on PAYE however due to High Income Child Benefit Tax Charge I need to now fill in a self assessment which I am doing (as it transpires for 2021/2022 tax tear my pension contributions take me under the Child benefit tax charge threshold!). I have reached the self assessment final tax calculation section which tells me the tax I owe, and is stating it is payable by 31st Jan 2023. The tax will already have been payed under PAYE. Can I assume the PAYE will be taken into account in the next steps when submitting?

Hi Peter Turner,

Use supplementary pages SA102 to record employment income and tax deducted on your SA100 Tax Return.

Amounts will then be included in the final calculation.

You can find guidance here:

Self Assessment: Employment (SA102)

Thank you.
