I have £1K in UK share dividends to declare, but despite being within the £2K allowance the SA form is applying tax to it by including it in all my income. When I look at the Tax Calculation page there is no mention of the dividend allowance. The only deduction made is for the Reduced Personal Allowance. Do I need to declare dividends on SA if they are below £2K? I am forced to do a SA because my income is now above £100K. Thanks.

I have the same problem with dividends of £590 that have been included in my income and therefore taxed. There is no dividend allowance made

Hi,

The SA100 notes explain that you should enter details of all of your dividend income, even if it is less than £2,000, as it will count towards your basic or higher rate bands and may affect the rate of tax that you pay on dividends received in excess of the £2,000 allowance. You will not however be taxed on dividends under £2000. You can see more information here:
