I've just created SA returns for both me and my wife. My wife's calculation includes a £1260 reduction for marriage allowance transfer but mine does not include a corresponding £1260 increase. Is this my data entry error or a flaw in the calculations?

Solved (eventually), The giver has to request it to happen via a separate link (explained in the help text). Should be made clearer for both giver and receiver (why not add the necessary questions automatically?)

Hi dmalloch,
First, check that you're eligible to receive the transfer,
Guidance here:
Marriage Allowance
If you are not eligible, then your calculation will automatically reject the extra allowance.
If you are eligible, try submitting your return again.
You may have submitted your return before the transfer have been fully applied.
If you still cannot see the transfer in your calculation after this, contact us by webchat or phone here:
Self Assessment: general enquiries
And we can check the transfer for you.
Thank you.
