Hello, my employer did not make student loan deductions from my salary during the year. In my self assessment, this exact missing student loans amount shows as needing to be paid. When I pay it, will HMRC pay the SLC on my behalf? How do I know HMRC won't pocket it themselves / how do I get a papertrail that they did indeed pay the SLC?

Hi,

HMRC will pay the Student Loans Company (SLC).

Once your return is submitted and any charges paid, you can contact the SLC for an updated account to confirm.

Thank you.
