Hello All, I'm filing my last year returns online. I was in an employment for April/May 2021 and was working from home full time. My employer didn't provide any wfh allowance during the employment. For later half of the year I was self employed with no noticable expenses (personal services). My questions is can I claim on my tax return - - full WFH allowance of £312 for first employment (refering to MSE advising full allowance is available even working from home for 1 day) - full £1000 'Trading Income Allowance' for self employment. Thank you

Hi,

To check if you are entitled to claim the Working From Home allowance, please use our 'expense checker' tool:

Claim tax relief for your job expenses  .

On the basis of the info you have provided, you are entitled to claim the Trading Income Allowance of £1000 :                                              :

Tax-free allowances on property and trading income    .

Thank you.
