income protection on tax return

Hi  I am currently filling in my self assessment return.I have income protection insurance that i had to claim on this year following a knee operation. I am struggling to find out if i have to include this on my tax return and where i should include it. I have seen that the payments are classed as tax free.

These payouts are tax free as you are paying the premium from income that has already been taxed.
