Dear HMRC team, I am Italian and worked in Italy before moving to the UK, where I am resident now. My pension contributions were saved into the pension fund of the organisation I worked for. Now I'd like to transfer the fund into another private fund (also in Italy). I am not getting any income from the fund (I will reach the retirement age in 20+ years), nor I have been paying money into the fund since I left the job. I believe that nor the source nor the destination fund is QROPS. I am aware I will have to pay an income tax once I'll retire and receive an income from that fund. My question: is there any tax liability now, when transferring the money between the 2 foreign funds? Thanks in advance!
