Is tax paid in previous year an allowable expense?

I've already filed my 23-24 self-assessment tax return. One thing I included in the total for my expenses was the tax I paid last year. Now I'm wondering if that is allowed and if I should remove that line. Can you advise? Thanks.

Tax is not an allowable expense and you should therefore amend the details you already submitted.
