Simple assessment

Hi been having issues for years regarding my husbands company informing HMRC he has a company car, when he doesnt have this benefit, we have called them and they have said his company need to update them and the company say no its HMRC that needs to change this. Going round in circles and today he has recieved a tax bill for this benefit.
