Universal credit assessment period.

My assessment period for UC runs from the 3rd to the 2nd,my daughter education finished on the 30th of last month.I was told because it finished before the assessment period ended I’m not entitled to part payment,which is wrong! 2 days from the assessment end date and because of that I receive no payment.
