Hi there. I would like to understand what happens if someone is eligible for and is claiming Free Childcare for Working Parents (30 hours), but their position changes during the year such that their Adjusted Net Income (ANI) will then unexpectedly be above £100,000 for the tax year. For example, this could be due to an increase in working hours, a promotion or new job, a sudden bonus, or similar reasons. If the individual was eligible to claim the 30 hours funding for half of the tax year before such a change in circumstances, for example, what happens when they then update their details and make their increased ANI known at the next reconfirmation window. I expect they would lose the funding going forward; what happens to funding already received?

Hi there. Thanks. I did contact the team before posting here, and was told they could only advise on specific situations (which this isn’t). We are trying to plan ahead for our family and understand possible scenarios, before we decide whether to change to part time hours, etc. How do we get help please?
