Closure of a will trust

I am tying to find out what clearance from HMRC to close a will trust at the end of its period of administration. I have submitted all needed tax returns and tax payments, and substantially all distributions have been made but I have not heard any confirmation from HMRC on them. Can I even now simply update the entry on the Trustee Registration without anything further from HMRC?
