Since changing over to the MTD system late 2019, I have been unable to submit any VAT returns. I have contacted HMRC 8 times via telephone and online chat. Each time they have said it is because of an address issue. Even though we have not moved since registering fifteen years ago. Each time HMRC has said they will resolve the problem within ten days, but here I am eighteen months later and I can still not submit a return. MTD simply says no returns due whenever I log on. My VAT account continues to show the message 'have you moved address?' Any suggestions please?
