Hi We have received an invoice from a client where the invoice name and address does not match the vat number name and address. We have queried this with the client and they have stated that they have 'UK company' on the certificate. Should the name and address on the invoice not match the VAT registered address if they are claiming VAT? Thanks

Hi,

The supplier, on their invoice should be stating the correct Principal Place of Business and company name. This should match the details we hold for them and should match the details on the VAT checker:
