Invalid UK VAT number

Hi My VAT certificate states the registration date as 1 November 2022, however, when i put this into the HMRC online VAT checker tool it returns an "Invalid UK VAT number" result. I have emailed vrs.newregistrations@hmrc.gov.uk on 24 November 2022 but still no response. I have 0300 322 7879 multiple times but each time i get told this is an internal error and they cannot help me. The issue is i now have nervous clients questioning my VAT number - this is not helpful when trying to launch a new company!! Can someone please help? Thanks Richard

We are having issues with the online VAT number checker and this is currently being investigated.
Please call the VAT helpline on 0300 200 3700 so we can check your VAT registration number is showing as valid.
Your clients can also call the VAT helpline to verify any VAT number as valid with HMRC.
