Child benefit deduction
Hi, I’ve just completed my self assessment and as my pay went just above £60k last year I need to pay back the child benefit, which I understand. However the calculation says I need to pay back over £1900 whereas I only received £1827 in child benefit. Can you advise why this is? All my income was via PAYE and the system confirmed I had paid the correct income tax so it should just be the child benefit I need to pay back.
