  • RE: Pension incorrectly paid as Salary Sacrifice

Hi, Thanks for the response, the issue is that payslip does not show the payment coming out pre the tax calculation. From what I can work out the payment provider screwed up and processed as the pension payment as 'relief at source' on the tax side but then sent to pension provider as 'salary sacrifice'. So I've currently missed out on the tax relief. Thanks Neil
  • Pension incorrectly paid as Salary Sacrifice

Hi, My employer has twice incorrectly paid my pension contribution via Salary Sacrifice rather than 'relief at source' while I'm attempt to get them to correct this with the pension provider if this is not successful would I be able to enter the value into the box for the following question on my self assessment form. Payments to your employer's scheme which were not deducted from your pay before tax: From reading the description it appears to be the case, even if the exact circumstances are not covered by the examples. The only potential issue I can see is that one was a result of a double payment so it does not actually appear on my payslip, they corrected this by not paying into my pension a few months later which unfortunately is in a different tax year from the original mistake. Thanks Neil
