  • Calculation of tax relief from personal pension contributions

Hello - we have just used the claims for to receive relief for personal pension contributions (https://www.tax.service.gov.uk/submissions/new-form/claim-personal-pension-tax-relief/)... We have declared the net contribution that equates to a 20% tax relief of £4,862.50. However, because the net contribution is equal to the amount earned over £100,000, my understanding is that there should be further relief due to the impact on the tax free personal allowance for employment income. The form, however, did not ask for a figure for total taxable income for the year. So my question is whether they will be able to calculate the correct relief, based on the total taxable income? Thank you
