  • Who to contact if online ID verification fails and it's not my fault?

    I have a Government Gateway ID, which seems to work, but literally anything else I need to do which requires me to go through online ID Verification causes an immediate failure and I cannot go further. I have tried all the relevant ID have, passport, driving licence, credit record etc and even the app, but it fails every time and has been failing for some time. I am 100% certain that I am using accurate details, none of which have changed for some years. I believe that the problem lies in the HMRC verification system. Which department do I contact to investigate and resolve this verification issue please?
