  • Remortgage application and self assessment question

Hi, We are currently in the process of remortgaging our house as our fixed term is up soon. I am a full time employee, and in tax year 21/22 I had a Etsy store as a side hustle to help pay towards our wedding, so I registered as a sole trader. I have recently completed my self assessment and paid the tax owed. I closed the Etsy store before the 22/23 tax year so as it stands my only income is my full time employment again. Do I need to give details of the Etsy side business I had in the 21/22 tax year as part of my remortgage application? Obviously there will be a recent payment to HMRC showing on my bank statement. I'm just not sure if the bank would question the transaction and ask for more information about it, or whether they don't care and are only interested in proof of current income. Sorry if this is a bit of an odd question and that most readers may not know the answer to, but worth a shot. Thanks in advance
