The above links do not specifically address for the case outlined by JJ FM. In addition what if the foreign property owned was purchased in excess of 25 years ago and a person has owned a main residence in the UK for over 20 years. It seems this is a very grey area for people and it falls outside the scope of these links. Any guidance would be appreciated.
