tax year account statement
Hi, I'm contacting you because I'm self-employed registered here in the UK and I'm beeing asked by the Home Office to provide my 'most recent tax year account statement and corresponding HMRC tax return'... No problem for giving them the return, I know what that is. But what about the 'tax year account statement' ? I don't know what they are talking about and how I can have access to it. I have an HMRC personal account, would it be possible for me it to download this document from there? Many thanks -
accessing older returns
Hi, I'd need to have access to old tax returns online, from 2018 backwards, how can I do? I have an HMRC personal account but cannot see returns older than the 2019-2020 tax year.... What number do I need to phone? At which email or postal address do I need to write (if there is any possibility to do this online, it would be obviously faster)? Many thx -
questions on foreign life insurance
Hi, I'm French and live in the UK. I'm resident for tax purposes here...However, I have a life insurance contract in France and was wondering whether (and if yes, how) I needed to declare anything to HMRC regarding this since I do not earn any money (yet) directly from it. Of course, the money is increasing year after year but I don't have access to it (since nobody died or I didn't withdraw any money). Many thanks for your help, -
I worked abroad for a short period of time, do I have to declare it ?
Hi, I'm a resident in the UK for tax purposes. Nonetheless I worked in France - as an employee for a French company, I received a wage - for 2 months last summer... do I have to declare this to HMRC, given the fact that there is a tax convention between the 2 countries stipulating that any wage earned in 1 of the 2 countries (providing the job was performed there) should be taxed in that country only ? Hi, Well, everything's in the title. I'm resident in the UK for tax purposes but had shares in a bank in France. I had to sell these shares and got back 11.000 euros. Do I have to declare this money to HMRC? Would I have to pay something for this? Many thanks for your help
