RE: Transfer from SAYE into an ISA
In order for the transfer of shares into an ISA - within 90 days of the scheme ending - to not incur CGT, does the transfer need to be conducted “in specie”? (Please note, my question is in relation to ISA, not pensions). -
Transfer from SAYE into an ISA
I have a SAYE share scheme maturing in January ‘24 worth approximately £23k. It is my understanding that if I transfer the shares into an ISA within 90 days of exercising the share option (£20k in the 23-24 tax year, and the remainder in the 24-25 tax year) there will be no CGG liability. For the transfer into the ISA not to be liable for CGT does the transfer need to be “in specie” (or will “bed and ISA” qualify too)? -
RE: Salary Sacrifice Pension spanning tax year end
Thank you for confirming. -
RE: Salary Sacrifice Pension spanning tax year end
So, for calculation of my Available Annual Allowance, I can treat that pension payment as having taken place in the 21/22 tax year? (Despite the fact that the money didn’t reach my SIPP until the 22/23 tax year) -
RE: Salary Sacrifice Pension spanning tax year end
Hi, we appear to have lost sight of the original question to which I was seeking an answer: “ My employer ran the payroll on 17/03/22 which included a £3k deduction for pension salary sacrifice. The £3k finally reached my pension account (SIPP) on 13/04/22. So that I can correctly calculate my Available Annual Allowance please tell me which tax year the £3k sits within. FYI I do not make any personal pension contributions through my employer”. -
RE: Salary Sacrifice Pension spanning tax year end
To enable you to answer the original question posed in this discussion thread - please assume that it is salary sacrifice NOT under the net pay arrangement. Thanks. -
RE: Salary Sacrifice Pension spanning tax year end
Please can you tell me how to tell whether it is under ‘net pay arrangement’ or not? All I know is that I have an arrangement in place to sacrifice a portion of my salary in favour of gross payments made by my employer into my pension (SIPP). -
