  • HMRC have wrong tax code, Employer and HMRC are not updating

    I left my old job in February 2023. My P45 has a tax code of 1257L. I joined my new job in March 2023. My new company did not use the code from my p45. When I login HMRC says: For my old job my tax code is 1100L For my new job my tax code is now 1100L. 1100 tax code definition: says that my tax free allowance is only £11k not the standard £1250. Why is it doing this? I have tried to contact HMRC on the phone 20+ times. I submitted a form online and requested it to be updated over 15 days ago with no response. PLEASE HELP!
