Capital gains tax on house selling in divorceWe are selling ghe marital home and splitting profit. My husband currently lives there and I am in rented. I am not on the deeds of house so do I have to pay CGT on my half house profit.
RE: Capital gains tax on house selling in divorceThank you for your reply but can someone explain to me abit more regarding " if you lived away from property for up to 3 years" I had to move out as my husband wouldnt and go to rented for last 2 and half years. Seems unfair I may have to pay CGT when I had to pay £800 rent all this time and my husband has lived all that time rent free.
Capital gains tax on house selling in divorceI am in process of selling a house in a divorce and my solicitor has asked will I need to pay CGT. Its worth about £250,000.
