Thanks. I've read the guidance and as far I can see it doesn't mention anything about a lump sum payment. For example, if you pay a lump sum payment of £8k, do you need proof it has been spent on qualifying costs?

I've been trying to find out without success if a relocation lump sum payment would be taxable? For example if we paid a new relocating employee £8,000 is that taxble?
