Hi there I recently sold a property that was my main home in 2015 but converted into a BTL unit from 2019 until disposal in 2024. In May 2024 I instructed major works in the basement - the entire level was removed back to stone and earth and replaced with new bathroom, flooring, wall coverings, doors, electrics, plumbing, lighting. I also replaced the ensuite bathroom upstairs. Total cost was £60K and works carried out over 12 weeks prior to sale. Would this count for improvement relief on my CGT bill? Many Thanks, Tom
