I have arrived UK on 24/12/2020 and on My BNO Vise application under the Hong Kong British National (Overseas) (BN(O)) route of the Immigration Rules has been successful on 24 May 2021 and granted permission to stay in the UK until 24 May 2026. After I read the information from the Home Office about income tax. Since I am self-employed starting on 01/01/2021 and Refer to RDRM10230 I am not classified as a resident in the UK on 2020/2021 tax year (April 6 2020 to April 5 2021) ? I am still confuse about my Residence status ? May I ask do I need to fill a tax return for year 2020/2021. Since I am new in UK and I am not sure what should I do ?
