Hi HMRC, based on the SA105 notes, please advise the correctness of what I am understanding by the following example.
If tenant paid me £24000 as the the rent from 1 July 2021 to 30 June 2022:
For traditional accounting, I should input £24000 in the SA105 BOX20
For cash basis, I should input the rent during 06/04/2021 - 05/04/2022 (10 months in this example), that is £20000 in the SA105 BOX20.
Am I right?
I live in a rental property in another country (not UK).
I bought a buy to let property in UK.
Should I put a cross in this Box 9 in this case?

Which third party software should I use?
I login to the link https://www.access.service.gov.uk/login/signin/creds and I find that I can use Business Tax Account to make a Self Accessment. I click the "Complete and file tax year 2021 to 2022 Self Assessment return" and I can fill in the detail of my property. Could you let me know if I can file a tax return online in this way ?
As I know, there is an alternative ways of filing tax by posting the paper forms to HMRC. So, if I can file the tax online, I should not be required to make this by paper forms, right ?
